Arunachal Pradesh has signed a MoU with National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017 for the development of dairying for the benefit of milk producers in particular and the cooperative movement in general.
NDDB will provide managerial and technical support to cooperative institutions so as to enable them better serve their members and promote a plurality of new producer institutions that remain true to cooperative values.
NDDB will conduct a study related to milk production and consumption to identify areas of intervention, based on which it will prepare a road map in consultation with the State Government.
A breeding policy will be prepared to enhance milch animal productivity.
NDDB will help strengthen dairying and make it more meaningful and sustainable occupation for the milk producers of Arunachal Pradesh.
