In a ceremony held today at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) Nagpur, installation of a majestic National flag of 100 ft. height took place under the distinguished chairmanship of Sh. Jayant Diddi, Pr. Director General(Trg.). The event, witnessed by officer trainees of the 76th and 77th Batch of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), along with esteemed faculty members of NADT, Officers from field and family members, staff, was a symbol of pride, unity, and commitment.
The flag, measuring an impressive 20 x30 feet dimension, now gracefully adorns the NADT premise, flying high at a height of 100 feet on a meticulously erected flagpole. The ceremony showcased the collective spirit and dedication of the NADT community towards upholding the values and principles that the flag represents.
A distinctive feature of the flagpole is its decorative finial, adding an aesthetic touch to the installation. An aviation light, prominent against the evening sky, further emphasizes the significance of the occasion and symbolizes the Academy’s commitment to illuminating the path of knowledge and excellence.
The participation of officer trainees from the 76th and 77th Batch of the IRS, as well as the esteemed faculty members of NADT, highlighted the sense of unity and shared responsibility within the institution. The event provided a platform for the officer trainees to witness and actively engage in a ceremony that instills a sense of patriotism and duty.
Adding to the grandeur of the ceremony, the distinguished presence of the police band enhanced the solemnity of the occasion with their melodious tunes. Their participation added a ceremonial flair, making the flag installation ceremony a memorable and dignified event.
The Pr. Director General (Trg.), NADT, Nagpur expressed his gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement and reiterated the importance of upholding the values embodied by the national flag.
