Vartalap-Rural Media workshop- organized at Verul(Ellora) by Press Information Bureau, Mumbai

Superintendent  Archaeologist Dr. Shivkumar Bhagat,  of Archaeology  Survey of India, Aurangabad Division today said, that Union Government is committed  to promote and create awareness about the tourist destinations and World Heritage sites along with their preservation and  conservation. He was addressing the rural media workshop-Vartalap organized by Press Information Bureau, Mumbai at Verul in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar District. Deputy Director of Press Information Bureau, Mumbai, Jaydevi Pujari Swamy, District Information Officer Dr. Milind Dusane, Information Officer Dr. Meera Dhas, Field Publicity Officer Madhav Jaybhaye, Malati Datta,Asst.Director,India Tourism, Superintendent Archaeologist  Prashant Sonavane were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Bhagat Said, archaeology Survat of India is making publicity of the world tourist destinations and tourist spots along with their development to boost the tourism in Marathwada. He underlined the important role of the locals in it, he said that they are brand ambassadors of these destinations. He suggested some more measures like making the publicity of the lesser famous destinations through various media and controlling the crowd for the conservation of heritage sites.  

District Information officer Dr. Milind Dusane stressed on the development of tourism culture pointing out towards the newly formed various options of the tourism. He asserted that local media is important to develop tourism culture between tourists and locals. He underlined the hospitality aspect and the treatment to the tourists to attract them towards the particular destinations.

   

Malti Datta, Asst.Director, India Tourism gave valuable guidance to the participants on Sustainable Tourism: Innovations for environment friendly tourism in this workshop. She said that it is possible to provide employment to the local youths through the tourist destinations and heritage sites and  media should spread awareness about it. She also stressed on the role of the locals in the development of tourism. She advised to promote environment- friendly things under mission Life initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Deputy Director, PIB, Mumbai elaborated on the working of the Press Information Bureau and the motive to arrange Vartalap – Rural Media workshop.

Multimedia Photo Exhibition of Central Bureau of Communication

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a two-day multimedia Photo exhibition has been organized by Central Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India and in collaboration with Archaeological Survey of India and India Tourism on 27th and 28th September 2024 at Verul Caves Campus.

Information is also being given about the main tourist destinations along with the photographs in brief through LED walls in this exhibition. Cultural programs are also being organized at the venue. In association with Shahir Suresh Jadhav, tourists are being entertained with information about the tourist destination and various heritage sites of Maharashtra are being displayed. The Central Bureau of Communications has appealed the citizens to visit the photo exhibition in large number and get the maximum benefit from it which is free for all.vartalap.
