Myanmar government has allowed 143 former citizens taking foreign citizenship to resume their citizenship.
Myanmar’s former government introduced a permanent residence system for overseas nationals taking foreign citizenship to return and stay back in Myanmar permanently to enable them to do their businesses.
The system also applies to foreign technicians and investors.
Permanent residency was granted to 264 out of 319 foreign applicants from January 2015 to August this year.
