The ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ (VKSA) was launched in Hingoli district, Maharashtra, on 29th May, 2025. The inauguration of this campaign was graced by Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, at Jagannath Puri, which was webcast live. Parallel programs were also successfully organized in Bhosi and Tondapur villages of Kalamnuri Taluka, and Taktoda, Sabalkheda, and Kahakar villages of Sengaon Taluka.
A large number of farmers and rural youth from across the district actively participated in these programs, demonstrating their keen interest in modern agricultural practices. The program was monitored by Dr. P. P. Shelke, Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hingoli, with Mrs. Rohini Shinde, SMS (Home Science), serving as the Nodal Officer. Representatives from IFFCO and Indian Potash Limited also participated, showcasing agricultural spraying through drone demonstrations and highlighting the integration of advanced technology in farming. Scientists from NRCC, Nagpur, Dr. Thirugnanavel and Dr. Kadam, were also present and provided valuable guidance to the farmers.
The teams leading the various programs at different locations included Dr. Atul Murai, SMS (Agricultural Extension), Shri Anil Olambe, SMS (Horticulture), and Shri Rajesh Bhalerao, SMS (Agronomy). They were ably supported by scientists Shri Sainath Kharat, Dr. Kailash Gite, and Shri Ajaykumar Sugawe, SMS (Plant Protection). Feedback from the participating farmers was diligently recorded to assess the impact and gather insights for future initiatives.
