Aleksander Ceferin from Slovenia was elected as UEFA President to succeed Michel Platini.
The 48-year-old Ceferin will complete four-year presidential term through 2019.
Ceferin beat UEFA vice president Michael van Praag of the Netherlands 42-13 in the vote in Athens (Greece).
Ceferin is the seventh president in the 62-year history of UEFA.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is the administrative body for association football in Europe. It is one of six continental confederations of world football’s governing body FIFA. UEFA consists of 55 national association members.
