The Central Board of Secondary Education’s Governing body unanimously approved a proposal to make board exams compulsory for Class X from 2018.
At the meeting of the Governing body, its members agreed that from the academic session 2017-18, compulsory Board exams should be re-introduced for all students of Class X.
The govt has said it will quickly work to approve the proposal and make it applicable for the entire country by 2018.
