DGGI successfully undertakes Special Campaign 3.0 for Swachhata and Disposal of Pending Matters

Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC – Ministry of Finance) has successfully undertaken the Special Campaign 3.0 for Swachhata and Disposal of Pending Matters. The Directorate at its HQs, 4 Sub National Units, 26 Zonal Units and 40 Regional Units undertook various cleanliness activities at all India level under the month-long campaign. Further, DGGI organized greenery and cleanliness drive at 106 places located at office premises and public places.

These activities have collectively transformed the offices into cleaner, more organized, and pleasant workspaces, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere for all employees.

As part of Special Campaign 3.0 for Swachhata, DGGI also launched e-waste disposal drive, wherein electronic/electrical items and their parts approx. 771 kgs, along with other miscellaneous waste of approx. 2373 kgs have been disposed off in the drive.

Officers and Staff members also conducted review and weeding out of old physical records/files and approx. 2,715 physical files have been reviewed & 1,652 files have been weeded out. Further, 2672 e-files have also been reviewed and 386 files have been closed in the month-long campaign.

In this process, approx. space of 16,145 sq. feet have been regained and the same is being used for aesthetic purpose/ seating of staff, visitors.

To bring positive impact on environment, three vehicles have been scrapped as per the Government guidelines.

Collectively, an amount of Rs. 2,85,315/- has been realized as revenue by scrapping old goods/ vehicles and e-waste.

DGGI has worked tirelessly to make Special Campaign 3.0 a success. The cleanliness drive thus resulted not only in a visibly cleaner, spacious and more organized office environment, it has also fostered a sense of responsibility among employees regarding office cleanliness.
