In a significant operation, officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Nagpur successfully intercepted a tractor attached with a trolley at Mauda Toll (MH) near Nagpur in the early hours of September 16.
Upon a thorough examination of the trolley, officers discovered a specially built-in cavity underneath. The cavity concealed a staggering 211 kilograms of Ganja, with an estimated value of Rs 42.2 lakhs, meticulously packed in 100 packages.
The vigilant DRI team swiftly apprehended two individuals who were traveling on the aforementioned vehicle. Both individuals have been subsequently arrested under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The investigation into this significant drug seizure is currently underway, as DRI officers work diligently to uncover the origins and intended destination of this illicit consignment.
