DRI Arrests one passenger for smuggling cocaine worth ₹26.62 crore At CSMIA

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials have arrested a passenger who had arrived from Nairobi for allegedly smuggling cocaine worth Rs 26.62 crore.

Acting on the intelligence, the DRI officers intercepted the passenger. Examination of the handbag in his possession revealed that drugs were ingeniously concealed between the outer and inner layers of the handbag on each side.

The officials recovered cocaine weighing 2662 grams valued at Rs 26.62 crore. Seizing operation was done under the provisions of NDPS Act,1985 . The passenger was arrested.

Further investigation is in progress, DRI sources said.
