European Union has fined Facebook one hundred and twenty two million dollars for giving misleading information.
European Union’s competition watchdog said that Facebook had said it could not automatically match user accounts on its namesake platform and WhatsApp, but two years later launched a service that did exactly that.
The European commission said it had imposed a proportionate fine on the technology company to send a clear signal that all firms must comply with EU competition rules.
