Vice Adm Ajendra Bahadur Singh, FOCinC Western Naval Command (WNC), called-on Hon’ble CM of Maharashtra, Shri Uddhav Thackeray at State Guest House, Mumbai on 24 May 2022.
The CinC briefed the Chief Minister on the recent efforts and initiatives of the Indian Navy to enhance overall maritime security, including ongoing initiatives in the state of Maharashtra. Activities being conducted/ planned by the Indian Navy towards #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav were also discussed.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister acknowledged the role and contribution of the Indian Navy and agreed to resolve all outstanding issues in a time bound manner.
During the meeting, various issues pertaining of common interest to the Navy and the Govt of Maharashtra were discussed, including options to enhance the close interactions between the State Govt, Mumbaikars and the Indian Navy.
