Government to organise a Mega multimedia exhibition on the occasion of International Women's Day

Central Bureau of Communication’s Field Office in Kolhapur

(Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India) works with
the mandate to take schemes, policies and programmes of Government of India to
masses with the help of interpersonal communication. 

Tomorrow i.e.  on 8th March, on the occasion of 
International Women’s Day CBC field office Kolhapur is arranging an exhibition
cum awareness generating programme on the theme of women empowerment.

This exhibition to be arranged in Rankala Garden in front of
Shalini Palace will showcase various schemes undertaken by Central, state
government as well as Kolhapur municipal corporation for the betterment of
women. 

The Exhibition which will be arranged for 5 days between 8th
March and 12th March, will be rich in multimedia component featuring
experiences like AR, VR component, Digital Quizzes etc.

Press Information Bureau Mumbai has arranged a series of training
sessions and workshops on the sideline of this exhibition and they are as
follows:

In the inaugural session, a digital literacy camp for women will
be organized by Mann deshi Foundation, which works for financial and digital literacy of women.
Workshop by Mann Deshi Foundation will involve hands on training, experience
sharing and visit to their exhibition bus. This session will begin at 11:30 am 

Senior lawyer Dr. Santosh Shah will address a training session
on the second day (9th March) of the exhibition to educate women on legal
literacy, especially on property and other laws. This session will begin at 10
am.

On the fourth day of the program on March 11, Eklavya
Foundation, will
organize a training camp for children from economically disadvantaged sections
on the topic of Higher Education Opportunities after 10th and 12th and will
select promising children and help them further in higher education. 
Poonam Dhoble will guide this session from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Some cultural programmes through cultural troupes will also take
place during the prorgramme. 

Similar exhibitions were arranged on the occasion of
Independence Day, in the premises of Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus
Kolhapur and in Miraj Junction on the occasion of National Unity Day. 

CBC requests public at large to visit and benefit from the
exhibition.
