Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation has constituted a high level technical team to visit the Cauvery basin area to assess the ground realities in the basin.
GS Jha, Chairman, Central Water Commission (CWC) will be the Chairman of this team.
The other member of the team are S Masood Husain, Member (WP&P), CWC, RK Gupta, Chief Engineer, Krishna and Godavari Basin Organization, CWC, Hyderabad, Chief Secretary or his representative from the States of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and One Chief Engineer each from the States of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and UT of Puducherry.
The team will visit to the Cauvery basin area for assessing the ground realities and submit a report to the Supreme Court.
The expert team has been constituted in pursuance to the Supreme Court order of October 04, 2016.
