Chasing a target of 312, Gujarat team was guided by their oldest player, whose captain’s knock off 196 balls will be remembered for a long time as it also ensured the highest fourth innings chase in a Ranji Trophy final.
It was the second time that Gujarat had made the final of the prestigious domestic tournament and first in 66 years.
Mumbai scored 411 in their second innings.
