IAS Mains 2017 exam will be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in  October month in 2017. The actual date of commencement of IAS Mains exam is 28th October (Saturday), 2017. The last date of IAS Mains 2017 exam is 3rd November, 2017. Mains 2017 will be conducted on total five days. Eligible candidates, who have qualified the IAS Prelims 2017 is appearing in this MAINS exam. They are burning midnight-oil to score more marks than others in order to attain best rank in civil services exam. Those who are working or employed have taken leaves from their works/jobs to write their IAS Mains 2017 exam.

Time Table of Civil Services Mains 2017 Examination

There are two sessions: morning and evening for conducting IAS Mains Exam. There are many candidates, known to us who are writing IAS Mains 2017 exam this year.

There are four papers of General Studies in IAS Mains Exam. General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II will be conducted on 30th October 2017. Similarly, General Studies Paper-III and General Studies Paper-IV will be conduced on 31st October 2017.

Candidates should read the instructions given before the questions on IAS Mains 2017 Question Papers, and write the answers accordingly. Carefully note the mentioned word-limit and do not write beyond the prescribed limit. Quality of answers should not be compromised with writing speed. Writing should be decent and legible. Try to insert and draw charts/diagrams in answers. Give examples from everyday life in long answers, especially in ethics papers questions. Time is the most important factor here. If you are not able to write answers of all required questions, then it will be disastrous. Therefore, complete all questions on time and that is possible only when you will write within prescribed word-limit.

Those candidates who will fetch the maximum marks will be called for personality test to be conducted at UPSC building in New Delhi.

Candidates now needs to focused on revisions of all important points and stay calm. They need to recapitulate the information by just relaxing. Now onward, they should avoid the intention of reading and completing all the material of general studies. Remember, general studies is a ocean and there is a NO LIMIT of it. Good Sleep (which is very rare) is required in examination days. Since MAINS 2017 are approaching, candidates should avoid late night study.
