Infosys Prize in Humanities Awarded

Sunil Amrith, Professor, Department of History, Harvard University has been awarded Infosys Prize 2016 in Humanities.

The award is given for his contribution to the history of migration, environmental history and his field-changing research on interrelated past of contemporary Asia.

The award given under the aegis of the Infosys Science Foundation has entered its eighth year.

The prize (for each category) consists of a purse of Rs. 65 lakh, a gold medallion and a citation.
