International Relations Conference on India's strategic Culture – Addressing Global and regional challenges held at Symbiosis International Deemed University

Pune, Dt. 25 November 23

The concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is not new to us as it has been included in India’s rich culture and tradition from the very beginning, stated Dr S Jaishankar  in Pune  today.

Dr Jaishankar was speaking at the  inauguration of International Relations Conference on India’s strategic Culture – Addressing Global and regional challenges held at Symbiosis International Deemed University.   Dr S B Mujumdar , founder director Symbiosis presided over the ceremony.

Explaining that in the next 50 years the world will be very different from what we have seen and experienced in the last 50 years, Dr Jaishankar further said that considering international relations, we have to adopt a different path than what we have adopted before. There is a need to look at various concepts in our culture from a different point of view. There is no difference in nationalization and globalisation, at least for Indians, only there is a real need to create a separate mechanism for its effective implementation.

Representatives of various countries are attending the two-day conference. Pro Chancellor of Symbiosis Deemed University Dr Vidya Yervadekar made introductory remarks, while Vice-Chancellor Dr Ramakrishna Raman proposed a vote of thanks.
