National Agricultural Sciences Academy Gets New Head

Former Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Vice-Chancellor Panjab Singh is appointed as president of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) for a period of three years.

NAAS, founded in 1990, is headquartered at NASC complex in PUSA campus, New Delhi, and has fifteen regional chapters across the country.

Panjab Singh, presently the first Chancellor of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi (UP), is an agronomist by training with more than four decades of experience in agriculture research, education planning and management across institutions and organisations.
