In Recognition of the notable contributions made by late Professor Prashant Chandra Mahalnobis in the field of Economic Planning and Statistics system, the Government of India has designated his birth day 29th June as the Statistics Day in the category of Special days to be celebrated every year at the National level. Acordingly as per directions of the Govt. of India, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division), Regional Office, Nagpur and Data Processing Centre, Nagpur is jointly celebrating Statistics Day. Celebration on 29th June 2024 (Saturday) at 10.00 A.M. Training Hall, Indian Bureau of Mines, Indira Bhawan, 3rd Floor, Civil Lines, Nagpur.

18th Statistical Day will be celebrated under the chairmanship of Shri L.M. Jadeja, Director, NSSO (FOD), Nagpur in presence of Shri P.K. Santhosh, Shri Ranga Sreenivasulu, Joint Director, Shri Sujeet B. Pujari, Deputy Director, Shri Nirnay Pratap Singh, Deputy Director, Shri Santosh Naik Boda, Assistant Director. Quiz Competition and Crossword Puzzle Competition also organised on this occassion.
