Vikram Chandra has been stepped down from the post of group chief executive officer and executive director at New Delhi Television (NDTV).
He was appointed group CEO in 2011 for three years. Extended by two years, with the mandate to strengthen the company’s diversification into digital areas, while ‘retaining NDTV’s position as the most respected media brand’.
He was a prominent member of the NDTV family since 1994, in a large number of roles — reporter, anchor, a founding member of NDTV.com and CEO.
NDTV has announced that K V L Narayan Rao, executive vice-chairperson, woud be group CEO, in addition to his existing responsibilities. Rao has been with the company for nearly 22 years, in various capacities.
