Nehru Science Centre Organises Annual Inter-School Science Quiz Contest 2024-25

The Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Pier and the Rotary Club of Bombay Queen City organised its Annual Inter-School Science Quiz Contest. A flagship initiative under the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the contest has been fostering scientific curiosity and critical thinking among students for the past 25 years.

 

The competition commenced with a preliminary written quiz on September 28, 2024, which saw enthusiastic participation from 138 schools across the Middle and High School categories. The event was graced by Shri. Chetan Desai, District Governor of R.I. District 3141, who delivered an inspiring address to the participants. After rounds of evaluation, the contest progressed through Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final Rounds.

The Middle School Group concluded with an impressive display of knowledge and teamwork. The winner of the Middle School Final Round held on January 16, 2025 was Sulochana Devi Singhania School, Thane and Runner-up was Bombay Scottish School, Mahim.

The Final Round for the High School Group will take place on January 25, 2025, followed by the Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the winners and runners-up from both categories will be honoured.

The Nehru Science Centre and the Rotary Clubs extend their heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their exceptional performance and eagerly anticipate celebrating the achievements of the High School finalists.
