Senior IFS Officer Vikas Swarup has been appointed the new High Commissioner to Canada.
Swarup, a well-known author, became the MEA spokesperson in April 2015.
He will replace Arun Kumar Sahu who is currently working as acting Indian High Commissioner to Canada.
