The restoration of the Cama Building at Gilder Road (Mumbai) received the UNESCO Asia Pacific Award of Merit. The residential building is owned by Parsi Trust in Murzban Colony in Mumbai Central.
This is the 12th Unesco award for conservation architect Vikas Dilawari, and the third for the Garib Zarthostiona Rehthan Fund (GZRF), which owns the Grade III building.
The team had together won for Sethna Building and Wadia Building before.
The campaign to conserve heritage structures in Mumbai received a boost by a this latest award.
