Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the concluding ceremony of Amrit Kalash Yatra of Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in New Delhi, today, on the occasion of National Unity Day

On the occasion of National Unity Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi participated in the concluding ceremony of Amrit Kalash Yatra of Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in New Delhi, today. Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone of Amrit Vatika and Amrit Mahotsav Memorial developed from soil collected from every part of the country. The programme also marked closing ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Prime Minister Modi also launched the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ platform for the youth of the country. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah also participated in closing ceremony of Meri Maati, Mera Desh campaign.

In his address on this occasion, Shri Amit Shah said that today is the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Patel and on this very day, sacred soil, collected from 7500 places across the country, has reached here. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has linked this vision with two big programmes. Amrit Kaal is beginning with the culmination of over 2 lakh programmes under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. These 25 years from Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to the Centenary of Independence, are the years to undertake and fulfil the resolve to make the country great, first in every field in the world, prosperous and safe.

The Union Home Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has awakened national consciousness through more than 2 lakh programs organized during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and called upon the countrymen to create a great India by channelizing that consciousness with these resolutions. He added that the soil brought here today from all over the country will be converted into an Amrit Vatika and this will continue to inspire us to create a great India.
