The Punjab government has decided to collaborate with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to root out the drug menace in the State.
A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed soon between the State’s Health Department, a Special Task Force (STF) and the UNODC.
UNODC has offered to help improve law enforcement and policing, pointing out that the agency’s programmes involving mothers had proved successful in other countries and could be emulated in Punjab.
