Quality Council of India (QCI), as the knowledge partner for the Association of Health Providers India (AHPI), powered the session “Quality Governance and Technological Initiatives in Healthcare” on 23rd April 2022, at the 2- day AHPI Global Conclave 2022 in Mumbai. The theme of the conclave was “Applying Industry Best Practices in Health Sector: Focusing on Value Based Patient Health Outcomes”.
The healthcare system in India has made significant progress in improving its health outcomes, however, the rapid economic growth and demographic changes are creating substantial demands for stepping up the performance of the healthcare system. The session focussed on the need for a more effective quality governance and technological interventions in Healthcare sector to address the changing health risks and ensure quality healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. R.P.Singh, Secretary General, QCI, said, “Healthcare providers should cooperate and collaborate to build a quality conscious ecosystem with all stakeholders being partners.” Dr. Singh also emphasised on the need of self-regulation amongst accredited and certified hospitals through ecosystem partners.
Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO, NABH, said, “HOPE programme of NABH is one of the highly acclaimed systems in the country and has been recognised through various awards, nationally as well as internationally.”
The session was attended by eminent medical fraternity and was well received. Annual awards in best practices in healthcare and leadership in quality were also given out.
