Rio Olympics Mural Gets Guinness Record

The Rio 2016 Summer Olympics has another record for the world`s largest street mural created by an artist.

At 15.5m tall and 170m long, the work of art is nearly 3,000 square meters in size.

Brazilian graffiti artist Eduardo Kobra painted this massive work of art along the promenade here and now it is recognised as the largest of its kind in the world.

Kobra began this work in early July with three team members and finished the gigantic mural on August 2, three days ahead of the opening ceremony of the 2016 edition of the Games.

The work, titled “We Are All One,” shows five faces representing five main ethnic groups from five continents.

It means to resemble the official Olympic symbol – the five Olympic rings.
