The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Indian Badminton Player Kidambi Srikanth, on the victory in $75,000 Indonesia Open Super Series tournament.
He clinched his third Super Series title with a straight-game victory over Japanese Kazumasa Sakai in the final.
Srikanth beat Sakai by 21-11 21-19 in just 37 minutes.
The Indonesia Open in an annual badminton tournament organized by Persatuan Bulutangkis Seluruh Indonesia (PBSI) and held in Indonesia since 1982. It became part of the BWF Superseries tournament in 2007 and got the Superseries Premier status in 2011.
