The Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar has greeted the people on the eve of Dussehra. Following is the full text of his message –
I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens on this auspicious occasion of Dussehra, a festival celebrated with great enthusiasm across Bharat.
The festival of Dussehra symbolises the victory of good over evil, and of virtue over vice . It is an occasion to reaffirm our faith in righteousness, and to imbibe and cherish values of truth, justice, compassion and courage.
May this festival bring peace, prosperity and harmony to all of us .
Following is the Hindi translation of the message –
पूरे भारत में बड़े उत्साह और पारंपरिक रीति-रिवाजों के साथ मनाये जाने वाले त्यौहार दशहरे के शुभ अवसर पर अपने सभी साथी नागरिकों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं।
दशहरा का त्योहार बुराई पर अच्छाई की जीत, अनैतिकता पर नैतिकता की जीत का प्रतीक है। यह न्यायपरायणता में हमारे विश्वास को मजबूत करने एवं सत्य, करुणा और साहस जैसे गुणों को अपनाने और संजोने का एक अवसर है।
मेरी कामना है कि यह त्यौहार सभी के लिए शांति, समृद्धि तथा सौहार्द लाए।
