Union Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries arrives in Goa for a three day visit

Shri Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries arrived in Goa for a three day (05th Feb – 07th Feb, 2021) tour.  On the first day, the minister took a meeting with Director General Fishery Survey of India, Directors of ICAR_CCARI, NIO, Officials of State fisheries department and senior officials of Goa state government. Several aspects of development of animal husbandry and fisheries were discussed in the meeting. Minister promised to expedite the proposals sent by the government of Goa and took a review of the existing schemes. Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant also attended the meeting. The minister had earlier visited Union MOS Ayush Shripad Naik at the hospital who is recovering from the accident that happened earlier this year. On the second day of the tour, the minister shall visit a Fishing site from Captain of Ports, Panaji. The Minister is also scheduled to attend a press conference on Union Budget 2021 later in the day.
