Sulkhan Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) by the Yogi Adityanath-led state government.
Sulkhan Singh replaced Javeed Ahmed, the incumbent DGP of UP. Ahmed has now been appointed as the chief of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC).
Apart from Ahmed, senior police official Bhavesh Singh has been appointed as ADG, Intelligence, whereas, Aditya Mishra was elevated as ADG, Law & Order.
