Kohlapur based NGO Jeevan Mukti Seva Sanstha, also known as the White Army, will be conferred with the Vasundhara Mitra award during the Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival.
White Army was formed in 1999 to provide free aid to people affected by flood and drought. It has over 250 volunteers in the city and provides healthcare facilities as well as help in rescue operations during emergency situations.
