Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Gathers Momentum in Delhi

Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal and former MP Shri Baijayant Jay Panda participated in the VBSY program at NDMC Civic Center in New Delhi today. Also, Union Minister for Civil Aviation & Steel Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia along with MP Ramesh Bhiduri participated at a VBSY programme in South Delhi and Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi was present in a VBSY Event at Chanakyapuri.

At NDMC Civic Center, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani administered the Viksit Bharat Sankalp. Speaking with the media, Shri Goyal said VBSY takes the government schemes to the people. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged to take his guarantees to the common man. The Yatra aims at saturation of welfare schemes such as Mudra Yojana, PM SVANidhi, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana etc. ‘Modi ki guarantee’ vans are travelling throughout the country, taking welfare schemes right to the doorstep of people’s homes, he said.

Union Minister for Civil Aviation & Steel Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia interacted with beneficiaries of various schemes on the occasion in South Delhi. Addressing on the event, the minister spoke about the goal and aim of the yatra. He said, “The yatra is a bold step towards making an aatmanirbhar Bharat.”

Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the IEC van is ensuring that the schemes formulated for the welfare of the common man reaches right hands. He said that the aim and goal of the yatra is to ensure 100% saturation of the schemes, i.e., the benefits of the yojanas has reached to every beneficiary in the nation.

Speaking about the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the minister emphasized that is the government’s duty is to inform and assist those who haven’t yet availed themselves of the guarantees offered by Prime Minister Modi. He said, “The country’s poor has the first right on its resources.” He explained how over 80 crore people are availing free ration under PMGKAY, more than 4 Crore have gotten pukka houses, and, more than 13 crore houses has gotten a free water connection accessible by tap under Jal Jeevan Mission.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Ms. Meenakshi Lekhi played a vital role in advancing a national mission aimed at fostering awareness about the Government of India’s diverse welfare programs in the VBSY event at Chanakyapuri. With unwavering enthusiasm, Smt. Lekhi passionately championed key initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJAY), Poshan Abhiyaan, and PM Ujjwala Yojana during the event. This collective endeavour stands as a testament to the steadfast dedication towards inclusive growth and citizen empowerment, striving to ensure widespread participation and comprehension of these transformative initiatives for a brighter collective future.

In her address, MoS Ms. Lekhi underscored the transformative initiatives steered by Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. She remarked, Under PM Modi’s leadership, accessing essentials like gas cylinders, Aadhar updates, loans, and bank accounts have become more attainable for the people.’ Encouraging community engagement through Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, she emphasized, ‘Under ‘Modi’s guarantee,’ our aim is to ensure that no one remains deprived.’

The cabinet minister further extended the discussion to encompass pivotal government schemes like the Beema Yojana and Pension Yojana, urging individuals to secure their future upon reaching 60. Aligning these initiatives with the overarching mission of the VBSY, she aimed to empower every individual, promoting a collective spirit of community welfare and active participation. Ms. Lekhi also stressed on the transformative impact of government initiatives, notably streamlining processes like acquiring basic necessities such as cylinders. Encouraging attendees to take advantage of the diverse array of bank stalls, present at the event, she weighted upon the importance of opening bank accounts and leveraging these beneficial schemes.

Transitioning to healthcare, Smt. Lekhi also delved into educating the public about tuberculosis (TB) and the necessary measures required for patient care. She enlightened the audience about the comprehensive health schemes offered by the Prime Minister and the government, which involves provisions for nutritional support and essential medication for treatment. Advocating proactive health measures, she urged participation in the health camps and utilization of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans for health check-ups and awareness. These initiatives, she stated, “are designed to empower individuals with the necessary health knowledge and resources for their well-being.”

Ms. Lekhi’s presence serves as a testament to the government’s dedication in effectively executing and promoting awareness about these vital welfare programs. She applauded the instrumental role played by urban local bodies and district administrations, recognizing their crucial efforts in ensuring public engagement and accessibility to these essential initiatives.

As the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continues its extensive outreach, MoS Lekhi’s endorsement further underlines the transformative impact of such grassroots initiatives. Her resolute backing emphasizes the sustained commitment required in shaping an informed and inclusive society.
