Snapdeal launched its private cloud platform, Cirrus, to help the company offer a more frictionless, reliable experience to customers and help save costs.
The private cloud solution has been built and operationalised in under a year and is timed to handle long-term growth in traffic.
The cloud is built entirely on open source with OpenStack at the centre, making it among the largest OpenStack deployments of a hybrid cloud in the world.
The cloud spans three data centre regions, with a dense server architecture of 100,000 cores and 16 Peta bytes of storage.
