- National Food Security Mission: It was launched in 2007-08 to increase the production of rice, wheat and pulses by 10, 8 and 2 million tonnes respectively by the end of Eleventh Plan. The major activities covered under NFSM include cluster demonstrations of rice, wheat and pulses, distribution of improved Varieties/hybrid seeds, need based plant and soil management, resource conservation techniques / energy management, efficient water/ application tools, cropping system based training and local initiatives, award for best performing districts, etc.
- National Mission on Bamboo: It is being implemented in 27 States in the country since 2006-07. Under the Mission, steps have been taken to increase the availability of quality planting material by supporting the setting up of new nurseries / tissue culture units and strengthening of existing ones. To address forward integration, the Mission is taking steps to strengthen marketing of bamboo products, especially handicraft items.
- National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm: Centrally Sponsored Integrated Scheme of Oilseeds, Pulses, Oil Palm and Maize (ISOPOM) is under implementation in the country for increasing area, production and yield of these crops w.f. 2004-05. The pulses component has been merged with NFSM w.e.f. 1.4.2010. The area expansion programme of oil palm has been implemented since 2011-12.
- ISOPOM Oilseeds: The Programme is being implemented in 14 States viz, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
- ISOPOM Maize: The scheme is under implementation in 15 states Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, ]&K, Tamil Nadu, U.P and West Bengal.
- ISOPOM Oil Palm: Only 9 States (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Goa, Odisha, Kerala, Mizoram & Maharashtra) are implementing this programme Recently Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh are also included under Oil Palm Development Programme.
