Former CCI head Ashok Chawla will soon join Yes Bank.
Chawla will take charge as Non-Executive Part-time Chairman of the bank with effect from October 30, 2016 upon the expiry of the term of the current Chairperson.
Chawla’s appointment is for a period of three years, with effect from the date of joining the bank.
He was appointed as an independent director on the Board of Yes Bank on March 5, 2016.
Chawla served as the chairman of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) post retirement.
Currently, he is the Chairman of NSE and chairs the governing council of The Energy and Research Institute (TERI).
