BIRAC has setup its Regional Entrepreneurship Centre (BREC) at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms – C-CAMP, in Bengaluru.
The centre has been set up with the objective of encouraging the spirit of bio-entrepreneurship, facilitating the creation of life science start-ups and mentoring start-ups to increase their chances of success.
Proposed activities at BREC include biotechnology entrepreneurship awareness programmes, a national biotechnology entrepreneurship challenge, business/ strategy boot-camps and workshops with national/ international experts, investor meetings and knowledge seminars. BIRAC is the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council.
