Field Outreach Bureau, Goa, (FOB) on Monday, concluded its five-day campaign on Poshan Abhiyan, with a call to the public to follow healthy food habits to help the government build a healthy India.
The campaign was launched as part of various activities being carried out across the country during the Poshan Pakhwada that was observed from 21st March to 4th April, 2022. Poshan Pakhwada was observed as part of the Integrated Nutrition Support Program – Mission Poshan 2.0 – a flagship program of Government of India which is being implemented through the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The program aims to improve nutritional outcomes for the public by leveraging technology, a targeted approach and convergence, with special focus on children, adolescents, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
In Goa, the FOB launched the five-day campaign on 31st March to spread the message. Artists of Ram Magic Drama Group performed awareness programs in Mapusa, Chimbel, Tivim, Porvorim and Old Goa, reaching out to hundreds of people with the message of healthy food habits. The troupe performs magic items to spread the message.
Field Outreach Bureau is a mass communication department under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Field Outreach Bureaus are engaged in educating people, both rural and urban, about the Government’s policies and programmes to evoke their participation in developmental activities. This is ensured by the Bureau using different vehicles of communication viz. Print Media advertising, Audio Visual Campaigns, dissemination through Exhibitions, Outdoor Campaigns and New Media etc.
