Somesh Sharma of Rashtradoot Saptahik is elected President of The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for 2016-17.
Sharma succeeds P.V. Chandran of Grihalakshmi (Mathrubhumi Group).
Akila Urankar (Business Standard) is the new Deputy President, K. Balaji (The Hindu Weekly) the Vice President and Sharad Saxena (Hindustan Times) the Honorary Treasurer.
V. Shankaran is the Secretary General of the Society.
