Preparations are going on in full swing for the first-ever (Uttar Pradesh) UP Pravasi Diwas 2016 (UPPD), with the Sate government forming a high-level coordination committee for the event to be held in Agar in January.
The committee will be fully responsible for successfully organising UPPD from January 4 to 6 and its meetings could be called as and when required and decisions taken by it would be executed after due approval of appropriate authority.
The event will be chaired by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav, who will be accompanied by other state ministers and senior government officials.
The Event Coordination Committee will be headed by Cabinet Minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia, whereas Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan will be its Deputy Chairperson.
