Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri beat Evgeny Donskoy of Russia to lift the men’s singles title at the $50,000 KPIT MSLTA ATP Challenger in Pune.
In the final, top seeded and 23-year-old Yuki registered a 6-2, 7-6(4) win in an hour and 15 minutes against 25-year-old Donskoy of Russia.
The Delhi player held on to his serves and forced a tie-break which he claimed rather easily.
Bhambri received $7200 and 80 world ranking Points which will propel him to around 82-90 in the world next week.
Donskoy who received $4240 and 48 points will also move into the top 100 with his performance here.
