Zero Discrimination Day

Each year on 1 March, the world marks Zero Discrimination Day to highlight how everyone can be part of the transformation and take a stand for a fair and just society.

Zero Discrimination Day is a call to people everywhere to promote and celebrate everyone’s right to live a full life with dignity—no matter what they look like, where they come from or whom they love.

The symbol for Zero Discrimination is the butterfly, widely recognized as a sign of transformation.

On 1 March, Zero Discrimination Day, UNAIDS urged people to make some noise around zero discrimination, to speak up and prevent discrimination from standing in the way of achieving ambitions, goals and dreams.
