China Construct World’s Highest Bridge

China has completed the construction of the highest bridge in the world, 565 meters above the Nizhu River Canyon.

The bridge, called Beipanjiang and located between the Chinese provinces of Yunnan and Guizhou, is planned to be operational by the end of this year.

With the opening of Beipanjiang, it will be officially the world’s highest bridge overtaking China’s Sidu River Bridge in the central province of Hubei, which opened in 2009.
