Rumjhum Chatterjee, Group Managing Director – Human Capital Development, Feedback Infra Pvt Ltd, has taken over as Chairman of CII Northern.
CII Northern, which has eight States and one Union Territory under its ambit, has broadly identified challenges such as access to credit, labour issues, market access among others and will roll on the ground engagement exercises with SMEs.
The five clusters would include light engineering, textile, services, pharmaceutical, etc. Out of its member base, 70 per cent belongs to the SME sector. It would also work towards the implementation of the government’s flagship mission ‘smart cities’.
The industry chamber plans to create city task forces to mirror what the State governments are going to do and to push pressure on states to get things done.
