She Virendra Singh, Advisor (IER) Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance has said that decisions taken by G 20 group nations has global importance as it comprises various important global organizations besides its member countries.
He was speaking at a public dialogue program organized at Savitribai Phule Pune University in the run up to G-20 infrastructure working group meeting.
Shri Solomon Arokiaraj , Joint Secretary Department of Economic Affairs , Ministry of finance , Smt Shalini Agarwal , Surat Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Shri Sanjay Grover, Asian Developer Bank Urban Expert and other dignitaries were present. About one lakh students and professors from various colleges and institutions participated in this program through video conferencing.
Shri Singh elaborated comprehensively the role and importance of G 20 conference He explained that since some developed countries along with developing countries are involved in this group, issues from different parts of the world will be discussed to reach out for a common solution.
He said that since last year the chairmanship of this organization is with a developing country. This year India will hold the chairmanship and next year Brazil will take over, it will certainly help developing countries in near future.
