Mumbai, June 8, 2021
Recently, some unidentified material, weighing about 6 Kg, packed in polythene pouches, suspected to be Uranium was confiscated by Jharkhand Police at Bokaro.
In a press release issued today, Department of Atomic Energy clarifies that:
- Through spot inspection and laboratory analyses of samples of the material, it is confirmed that the material is not Uranium and it is not radioactive.
- The material does not cause any radiation related health hazard to living beings or environment.
